Christina Revamps! A new series, starting with Christie!

So, I've decided to try something new over on my YouTube channel! From time to time, I pick up dolls at the thrift store and fix them up, and I decided to try filming a bit of the process and seeinf it was something people might be interested in. My first go was a Christie I found at Value Village for $2.99, who wasn't in bad shape, but definitely needed some love.

Let me know what you think!

  1. The curls look excellent. I didn't know the long, straight hair would even do that much curling!

    1. I've curled a lot of dolls hair, and I've never had one curl this much! I was shocked too! I did it a bit differently than I have in the past, so I wonder if that made the difference.

  2. I really enjoyed this video! I'm clueless when it comes to the best way to take care of my dolls, particularly their hair. I would love it if you showed us how you do what you do!

    1. I can definitely do a video on how I care for/curl dolls hair! I'm actually planning on curling my Marisol Coxi's hair, so I can see about doing up a little tutorial :)

  3. I love the curls on Christie, and I like that you chose an outfit that brought out those intense blue-green eyes. Nice job! Fixing up thrift store dolls is also a hobby of mine, so I'd love to see more videos like this one.

I found a Barbie Basics Lea doll at my thrift store, and her poor face was covered in blue ink. I just finished up her benzyl peroxide treatment today -- it took several weeks -- and her skin is now clear. So excited. Now I just have to do something with her hair, which is one big tangled mass. She may need a re-root.

    Cheers,

    1. You can try soaking her hair in some fabric softener, that may help the tangles. I've never gotten the benzoyl peroxide to work for me, but I think that's because I can't get 10% in Canada. I'm glad it worked for you though!

I'll definitely be doing more of these :)

  4. Love her new look. I think your new lady may be Shani. She is from one of the Beach lines they had in the 90's (probably).
