Like many little girls (and boys!), I grew up loving dolls, but I never grew out of it. Instead, my love of dolls and collecting them has only grown! Many of my family members are also collectors, of everything from tea cups to Hot Wheels to pigs and anything else you could imagine, so I guess you could say it's in the blood!

My real collecting began when I was in university, and first started getting into comic books and I saw what amazing action figures were available for anything and everything that I loved. Thanks to my local comic book store and conventions, I built quite the collection of action figures that I still love and display as many of them as I can around my house! It can get quite crowded, as my husband is a collector of many things as well, but we have a hard time giving up the things we love for just one more inch of shelf space. :)

Then, in 2010 Mattel launched Monster High, and my life has never been the same! These scary cool dolls instantly hooked me, and I wish something like them had been around when I was a little girl! They're spooky, weird, but pretty at the same time, and through the webisodes and movies we see that they're more than accepting of each other's "freaky flaws", a message that really hits home for me. Ever since I brought home my very first one, Draculaura, I've been in love, and if they keep releasing such cool dolls, I think this love affair will be a life-long one!
