Out of the Wild: Jane Boolittle

I feel like me being surprised by dolls is kind of a trend lately...but here we go again! We first saw Jane Boolittle turn up inside the display case at San Diego Comic Con. At the time, people were pretty confused, since she didn't tie into any of the lines we knew about, and because it wasn't immediately clear what kind of monster she was supposed to be. Well, it's still not really clear what kind of monster she is, exactly, but at least we know where she fit into the Monster High universe! Though she is a standalone doll, Jane is being promoted alongside the new "Secret Creepers" line.

None of these were really my concerns when I saw Jane. No, I wasn't sure about her face mold, or her outfit which looked...pretty random and kind of crazy, and I was comfortable crossing her off my mental list of dolls I NEEDED to have. Well, I'm eating my words now!

All the way from Barcelgroana: Viperine Gorgon

Yesterday, one of my favourite stores over in the states was having a sale, so my husband and I hopped on over the border to check it out. Of course, there happens to be a Target right next to the mall and well..I had to go in! Sadly, I'm currently on a really tight budget, which of course means that they had almost everything I could have wanted! Viperine Gorgon, Jane Boolittle, Sweet Screams Draculaura and Frankie, the new Ever After High C.A. Cupid...All of them! With the help of my husband, I narrowed it down to two, and decided (for now) to go with the two new ghouls, Viperine and Jane. They were also the two with a biggest price difference after factoring in exchange and the Canadian prices, so it felt like a pretty good deal to me!

Anyways, without further ado, I've decided to review Viperine first. I can't believe how many new characters we've gotten lately! Four in the FCA line plus Jane, seems like a lot all at once, but I am not complaining!

So let's get to it!

A new member of the family: Clawdia Wolf!

Today, I'm starting to go through my Christmas haul and breaking into some of the awesome gifts I received! First up is another doll from Monster High's Frights, Camera, Action line and new addition to the ever-expanding Wolf family, Clawdia Wolf! I wasn't sure about her when I first saw her, but she's really something different for Monster High, despite being yet another werewolf.

So let's have a closer look, shall we?

Scaremester: Jinafire Long

Scaris Jinafire Long was one of my favourite dolls released last year. From her vibrant hair, to her glowing gold skin and fabulously unique body, Monster High really took it to the next level with her. When it was revealed we were going to be getting another Jinafire this year in the Scaremester line, I was excited! I couldn't wait to see how they translated her Chinese culture into Monster High fashion this time, and she does not disappoint!

Let's have a closer look at this striking beauty!
